Since revisioning four years ago, CBAmerica has been in a transitional mode while the new paradigm gains understanding and strength. It is a new day, and the total ramifications of the changes have yet to be discovered. Yet signs of new life and vital relationships are abundant, as environments of grace and truth are emerging in our covenant community.

The current funding for the vision is inadequate, due in part to the recent restructuring process. We encourage church members to support their local church; we encourage affiliated churches to support their Regional ministry center; and we encourage the Regions to support CBAmerica. This transition is working, and the Regions have stepped up with support for CBAmerica, even as churches have begun to switch their support to the Region.

While resources lag behind our vision, we are pressing forward. This year we are beginning a massive project designed to bring help and health to the local churches. We are intentionally developing leaders and coaches, establishing clusters, training church assessors to guide churches through fresh envisioning, and providing ministry peer-to-peer coaching. The project is huge, but essential to our future. The financial cost is huge to bring about this nationally coordinated, carefully monitored and intensely accountable network.

In the light of all this, the CBAmerica Board is calling for churches across the land to receive a special offering for CBAmerica in the month of May. It has been over a decade since we requested this type of support, but we unashamedly come at this time because the health and reproduction of churches is what will propel us into a fruitful and fulfilling future.

Would you give an opportunity for your church to participate in the community of CB churches nationwide as we seek the resources to bring vitality to our associations?

We ask each congregation to pick a Sunday in May to receive a special offering for CBAmerica. These funds are necessary in this transitional phase to continue our ministry operations in networking and serving the Regional fellowships. This is an opportunity for churches to give beyond their regular support of their Regional ministries and to unite in the bigger scope of national service.
