a covenantal fellowship of regional baptist church associations

CBNorthwest's Enrichment Conference

The CBNorthwest's Enrichment Conference has held at the beautiful Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA, March 3-5, 2008.

Bill Thrall of Leadership Catalyst was the keynote speaker, and Dave Mertz (First Baptist Church of Eugene, OR) the worship leader. Registrants were again treated to the spontaneous drawings of artist Scott Erickson.

The Region celebrated its work over seven years of discovering their identity, articulating their doctrine, and living out that identity in covenant community. All this has resulted in dependency on God, on community and on truth. The outcomes are emerging in churches multiplying relationally-based elder leadership teams, coaching relationships of shepherding issues and a larger Great Commandment impact.

Three churches were planted last year, and groundwork is laid for another three in 2008. The first group of Convergence-trained leaders was graduated, and a fourth has been launched. There are thirty Hispanic ministries in the Region. Prayer and spiritual development are intentional priorities with prayer events and summits.

The NW participates with the other Regions in using ministry tools like Percept and Natural Church Development, and Director Mark Hoeffner is a part of the CBGlobal efforts in the Philippines and South Africa.
