How do we respond to times of natural disaster, devastation and despair?  What is CBAmerica’s role in the midst of these “situations”?

Desiring to establish a policy that allows us to respond, rather than react to these “situations” of need CBAmerica has the ACTS Fund which stands for - Avenues of Compassion in Tragic Situations.

CBAmerica’s VALUES as a covenanted fellowship of regional church associations include:

• Resourcing avenues of compassion for individuals in tragic situations.

• Developing  strategic relationships to accomplish ACTS of compassion.

• Providing opportunities of engagement for the regions and churches in missional expressions.

• Promoting synergistic interdependence – we can do more together, more effectively with greater resources than we can do separately.

The ACTS Fund will be the instrument of implementing this Ministry of Compassion. When opportunities for Ministries of Compassion present themselves CBAmerica will:

Explore and resource AVENUES of COMPASSION that:

• Communicate synergistic interdependence, prioritizing the relationship with the regions and their churches.

• Promote missional expressions in the regions and local church.

• Leverage strategic relationships and partnerships (Churches, Agencies, and Ministries).

INFORM:

• Communicate the various avenues of opportunities for expressions of compassion.

• Tell the ongoing story of the compassion activities.
